Spiritual Gifts Links

There are two philosophies of links. Some sites try to list as many links on a topic as they can find. Others just list the ones they think are the best and most useful. We tend to lean towards the "best and most useful philosophy, so while this list is not exhaustive, we hope you find it valuable.

And if you know of a link on spiritual gifts that you think should be here, please e-mail us and let us know

Get the Basics First.
One of the best on-line Spiritual Gifts courses on the web is by Dr. Lindsey Garmon at http://www.theseeker.org/gifts while New Life
offers a one page course at www.new-life.net.   Maybe a full set of lessens is more than you need. Want some quick verses for reference about the Holy Spirit, what it is, and how we should put it’s power to work? A very handy starting point. This page lays out dozens of references. See it at www.njcnews.org/holyspir.htm. Or try this:, I don’t think I have ever seen a site with such a simple to understand interface as this one that deals with Bible Teaching on Spiritual Gifts. Very Nice! See what I mean at www.mintools.com/gifts.htm

Then Look at yourself.
There are a lot of spiritual Gifts assessments on the web. You can find a Spiritual Gifts discovery tool at CFC. www.cforc.com/sgifts.html. Calvary Rose Baptist Church in Roseville, MN has had lessons about Spiritual Gifts on the web since I can remember. If you need a quick outline as opposed to a full set of lessons, check out this page at http://calvaryrose.org/docs/gifts.html . A group called Team Ministry has an abbreviated version of the printed Spiritual Gifts analysis that I often use in my seminars on their web site: www.teamministry.com. Also, The folks at Advent Lutheran Church have a nifty spiritual gifts discovery tool at http://www.adventelca.org/spiritgift.htm.  The Lutherans don’t have a lock on spiritual gifts resources on the web, but we did find another tool at the ELCA evangelism team site: www.elca.org/eteam/assessment.htm.Another church that has a good self-inventory of Spiritual Gifts is Saint Paul's at http://ns.htc.net/~shanks/stpaul/gifts1.htm

Are the Gifts still with us?
This longish essay asks the question: "Have the gifts stopped being given?" Worth reading if you have ever asked the question. Heck, worth reading if you haven’t asked the question. www.spirithome.com/cessatio.html. While you are here, check out the entire Spirit Home Site - lots of thought-provoking reading here. Here's another point of view on the same subject - www.victorious.org/sprgifts.htm

Get The Holy Spirit and Business
The Holy Spirit is generally associated with empowering people and churches, but here are two sites that focus on faith in business. If you are concerned with how to take your faith to work, this could be an invaluable place to begin your study. The Four Eleven Foundation’s site has an in depth-outline of how you might apply the help and guidance of the Holy Spirit, and your spiritual gifts, to business. Visit them at www.4-11.org . Another work and faith organization you might want to check out is Scruples. Scruples is an organization made up of folks in the Silicon Valley area, who have a strong Christian faith and think that our faith should apply as certainly to our work lives as much or more as an MBA. Lots of resources here at www.scruples.org .

If you have a story of how a deeper knowledge of Spiritual Gifts has changed your life or ministry, we'd love to hear from you.
